People don’t keep their eyes open. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve seen guys walk out into the middle of the street only to almost get run over by an 18 wheeler. It’s like we’re living in a bubble and don’t have any clue what’s going on around us. Okay, so what’s this got to do with your home business? Well, believe it or not, many home business owners miss out on killer opportunities because they don’t take the time to simply open up their eyes. In this article, I’m going to give you a few simple ways to do just that. Follow this advice and you’ll find opportunities opening up for you all the time.
To start with, I don’t care how much you hate the news. Yeah, I know…it’s depressing at times. Almost none of it is any good. But you have to keep your eyes open and observe what’s going on in the world, especially when it comes to business and entertainment. Why do I specifically single out these two things? Well, when it comes to business news, this directly affects your business. If the economy is in a recession, this is going to actually help you if you’re in certain niches where people are looking for solutions to their ailing finances.
What about entertainment? Do you have any idea how many opportunities there are in the entertainment niche? New “toys”, as I like to call them, come out all the time. I remember when the Ipod came out. This opened up a huge market for people who were in the entertainment niche, and not just selling Ipods. Celebrities are usually big money makers if for no other reason than just putting up a blog about them can score massive AdSense revenue for your business.
This directly relates to what I call “looking for the hot niche.” Just head on over to Google Trends and see what people are looking for. Sometimes a hot niche, even if it’s a fad, can absolutely turn into a huge money making opportunity. All it takes is just a few minutes a day to see what’s hot.
It doesn’t take a lot of work or time to simply keep up with what’s going on in the world. In the meantime, doing this can mean thousands of extra dollars to your business each month.
